Cain is easily recognizable wearing a long, grayish-brown duster, and equally matching fedora. On the rare occasion that he’s found without his hat, onlookers will see very short, blonde hair, and a look into striking blue eyes, often unshowing of any emotion.

Beneath his duster he wears a leather best, coppery in looks, with several pockets – one of which that holds close to his heart a small, crafted toy horse with an indent from a bullet, the toy having once saved his life – under it, a blue-striped cotton white shirt. A belt crosses around his front and back, past the one around his waist, connecting to a black gun-holster where the grey and worn revolver rests.

Cain is a reasonably tall man, but that’s not to say he towers over his companions. He walks in tan, form-fitting pants and brown boots, mostly encrusted with mud after all the journeying.

After he had been freed from his tin prison, Cain was a man without a heart. He believed that there was no need for it, and even after agreeing to lead DG and Glitch to Central City – DG asked about his change of heart – he offhandedly mentioned that “Heart’s got nothing to do with it.” His mind was set on one thing: killing Zero, the man that he believed to have killed his family.

But while traveling with the pair, not long joined by the Viewer, Raw, he begun to change. He missed out on his first chance at killing Zero, after the Mystic Man forced him into old proceedings as a Tin Man of his, and made him swear that he would not leave DG’s side.

In time, most often because of the princess, DG, he was finding his frozen heart warming again. He became a more forgiving and optimistic man (although hardly up to snuff with Glitch’s own), much less the cynical man that the pair originally freed.

Cain rarely shows emotion, but in terms of his friends, it will sometimes slip out – even surprising himself. Although it is his family that bring out the kind and caring Wyatt Cain the most; he watched them being tortured again and again for so long, thought them dead, later finding out that they were alive, but then finding his wife’s grave, and eventually, eventually finding (being saved by, actually) his son, who like he once had, had a frozen heart.

Cain had been through quite some emotion, to say the least.

Although he has undergone a fair amount of change in his personality, he is a man of few words, but once and awhile will give off more, along with a bit of dry humor. Sometimes, he can even drag up the willpower to try and say a heartwarming thing or two, but only on rare occasions.

Warmed Tin: Abilities, Strengths, and Weaknesses
Cain equips himself with a revolver, hand often resting on it as he walks, and a cool head, both that he would hurt to lose in more ways than one. He is expertly skilled in marksmanship (hardly just carrying the gun for decoration), and decently in martial-arts (although not even close to Glitch). He is also quite a strong and intelligent, probably gained from his time as a Tin Man.

To think a man that had been without a heart for so long wouldn’t have it as a weakness, but in his defense, he would also say that the new love for his friends would be as much of a strength to him as a weakness. When in regards to them or his family (Adora deceased, but hardly forgotten; his son still fighting battles), that is when he shows the most emotions, and probably the one way to trip him up and of course, make him loose that cool head of his.

People like Zero (or maybe just him) can rile Cain, in emotional ways, as well as the ones that bring out a sort of cocky-nature where he pushes to the extent that harms him.

Changed through travel: History
Wyatt Cain did not have a pleasant past; he did have a heart at one time, when he had a loving with – Adora – and a young son – Jeb. He was a Tin Man (the guards of Central City), loyal to the one known as the Mystic Man (and sometimes, the Wizard). It was when the Sorceress, Azkadelia, seized the throne from her mother in a violent coop that things became hard all across the O.Z (Outer Zone). Cain sided with the Resistance Movement without much thought, but he was found out.

Cain was captured by Longcoats (those under the command of the Sorceress), lead by General Zero, and forced into the most cruel of punishments for his betrayal. He was imprisoned in a tin suit, and had to watch the looped footage of his family being tortured and, he thought eventually killed. This had been his life for fifteen annuals, until one day, DG and Glitch stumbled in (trying to find the Brick Route, DG followed the sounds of the footage). She freed him from his tin prison, and he stumbled out, body worn and grown out in all that time. He cleaned up, offered a curt thanks, and was ready to be on his way – to kill Zero.

But at mention of a road, DG jumped on it and after finding out they were heading the same way, thought they could go together; Cain wanted nothing of it, referring to DG as a kid and Glitch as a convict, and was sure that the girl would run at the first sign of trouble. When she quips back that he doesn’t know her and they’ll find the way herself, he thinks skeptically on it, knowing the dangers that the way leads to (the Papay; ‘I’ve seen them gnaw people in half inside thirty seconds’). A bit reluctantly, and with matters that by no means dealt with heart, he agrees to get them to Central City, under the conditions that “zipperhead” kept his mouth shut, and the kid stay behind him.

The girl was trouble, of course. It didn’t take her long to find it, at least. The Papay had caught a meal, left it tenderizing in their digestive enzyme; of course, the girl saw fit to set it free, asking to borrow Cain’s razor. He cut the being out himself, only to be thanked by a loud roar, which made him pull his trigger and true cowardliness showed. The Papay were on them quickly, one biting Cain’s leg. They made a haste retreat with the Viewer named Raw, one that involved them jumping over a cliff into a river.

The group makes it into Central City by “catching a ride” with Demilo, who Cain coerced into helping them, former Tin Man or no, he still had his “ways.” Once in, Cain makes his way off, after assuring the others would see the Mystic Man; Cain was still determined, even as DG told him he wasn’t a killer. He had to take revenge on Zero. He had to.

Interestingly enough, his search for Zero led him back towards the others, as the Longcoats had been tipped off to where they’d be. Urging their escape, they reveal the drugged Mystic Man, who searches for answers to DG’s questions. After seeing the symbol on DG’s hand, he cleared up, and managed to give her an answer, as well as recognize Cain as one of his Tin Men. He prepares to go after Zero, but the Mystic Man stops him and makes him give his word to stay by the girl’s side after knowing who she is now. He goes after the others.

They steal Demilo’s wagon, and head to the North. It’s there that they find out more answers, only to be found by Azkadelia. Cain faces Zero, to be shot in the heart, and pushed out a window into ice. He’s saved from hypothermia by Glitch, but it was his son’s crafted toy horse that stopped the bullet. The two travel to Azkadelia’s palace, determined to save the princess (they do not know where Raw got to), and took out some Longcoats, stole their coats, and snuck in. Nicely enough, DG, Raw, and a dog, already got themselves out (Glitch getting hit in the head, hard, as they though the pair were actual Longcoats).

After escaping thanks to the following the dog, who they later find out to be Tutor – Toto – they head south as the Mystic Man told DG (Cain finds out that Azkadelia killed him), Tutor helping DG with her magic along the way. They find a cabin owned by a family of the resistance, and there they find out more about Glitch and Azkadelia’s weapon… and Cain finds out that his family really is still alive. With the family’s help, the cross a gorge, and Cain rushes to where his family’s house to be, but there’s only Adora’s grave. Heart clouded, Cain cannot let himself believe Raw when he says his son still lives. They continued south, found more truths about DG and her sister, and that Tutor betrayed them. But they gave him a second chance, as Toto the dog.

Their next course of actions takes them to the realm of the Unwanted, searching for DG’s father Ahamo. Unfortunately, there was a bounty on all their heads – they go to meet “the Seeker” but the woman who was leading them set up a trap to capture them. DG was taken by the Seeker, and the rest were turned over to Longcoats. Again, captured, and mocked by Zero, the group is led off. Their rescue was made by a group of resistance fighters – led by none other than Jeb Cain, his son.

Zero gets interrogated, and Cain shows himself as having indeed a warmer heart, as he stops his son from killing Zero (it wouldn’t bring Jeb’s mother back, or make her proud); that night he locks the man in a tin suit that the fighters kept nearby, as a reminder of what they were fighting for. Cain makes an agreement with his son: if they stop Azkadelia, they would return to let him out. If not, he would be stuck there.

They encounter DG again, led by Toto, after she frees herself from a marble crypt (the second time Cain had tried to rescue her, and she didn’t need the help). But DG doesn’t have the emerald, and Azkadelia – the 500 year old witch possessing her – does.

So together with Jeb’s resistance fighters, they setup to break into the palace again, going in the same way they originally left, after DG gives everyone a battle talk, and Cain tries to convince her to save herself if she cannot save her sister. Once inside, they part ways – DG to her sister, and the other three to go to stop the Sunseeder, Glitch’s invention that was run by the brain Azkadelia cut out of him.

Raw hooks up Glitch to his old brain, and ‘Ambrose’ informs Cain of the number sequence to shut down the Sunseeder. They get interrupted by guards, catching what they were up to, and Cain gets himself electrocuted and then shot at. After with help of another Viewer, they get the Sunseeder to full power again. Cain goes for his razor, catches Glitch’s eye, then throws it into one of the heads of the men, allowing Glitch freedom and unleashing their counterattack. Needing the last number from ‘Ambrose’ they barely get it out of him in time (Cain unwillingly prepared to shoot the brain to stop the machine). They stop the Sunseeder, and make it up to Az’s chambers to find the family of four reunited, the evil witch gone, and the O.Z saved.
